Hello,

This week we have been celebrating Dead Man’s birthday, we celebrated in style in our local city of Norwich. On Dead Man’s birthday, by happy accident, we went to see the wonderful potter, Keith Brymer Jones and his partner, Marj, at Norwich Theatre Royal. Keith talked about his 1980s schooling, his career and threw a few pots. As well as being a highly accomplished potter and very caring person, he is a great story teller . We wish him and his partner Marj well with their massive undertaking of renovating a huge chapel in Pwllheli, North Wales.

The next day, we toured Norwich’s hidden medieval streets with Shoebox Tours, this was excellent, very informative and peppered with lots of jokes which were almost as good as the ones Dead Man comes out with. We topped off Dead Man’s birthday with a fantastic meal at Harry’s Soul Station. This is a lovely cosy restaurant in Norwich, they do fabulous food and cater extremely well for coeliacs. Dead Man was very excited that he he had a choice of burgers and chose  ‘Harry’s dirty Mac’ and fries, the ‘mac’ was for macaroni cheese on a burger, dirty indeed and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I was more parsimonious and went for the halloumi ‘burger’ with salad instead of a bun. We both had to have dessert too, pictured is apple pie cheesecake, he just about let me photograph it before he dived in.

As part of Dead Man’s Birthday celebrations, we are offering you all 10% off any new orders made between today 14th June and the end of the month – 30th June. All the best, Claire AKA Mrs Deadman
